recap time...

I've started a new way of keeping a journal, called project life. you take one picture a day of anything (a frying pan, you doing something, a crazy person you drive by, etc.) then you scrap book! Well here are some of my favorite pictures so far... (PS order is backwards chronalogically)
1st - I went to general conference at the conference center for the morning session with my 2 besties, Trevor and Kaylee. We then watched the second session at my sister in-law, Cara's house. And afterward went home and dyed eggs and made hamburgers (thanks to Thayne and MaryAnne!) and also made homemade french fries after both Trevor and I got burned we decided to call it quits and eat what we had.
2- I spend wed. with my niece Evie and she is a blast I love playing with her and this picture is her in a nut shell! I am so lucky to have chad and cara so close.
3rd and 4th- Shantel and I went to Gardner Village last tue it was so much fun, those boots are the only purchase I made in all the cuteness boutiques we went to, I was very proud of myself. Afterward, we went to dinner and had fried green tomatoes and fried avacados they were so so amazing. Then we had a chicken sandwich and steak. Yummy yummy dinner and a muffin top for dessert. I love Shantel days and am so sad she will be leaving me so soon for texas!
Finally- Kaylee and I went to the festival of colors last week it was so much fun. We walked like 6 miles to get there cause we parked further away then we should have and didn't know where we were going. But we were much smarter coming back and I asked a guy if we could jump in the bed of his truck, he was very kind and brought us to just a block from our car! Afterward we stopped at a small Trolley Restaurant in Springville for dinner, the waiter was super hot and the atmospher was so awesome and the food was pretty good, sadly not amazing. But for dessert we went to DQ and I got the best blizzard I've ever had.

More Craftieness from the weekend :)

So Cutter's birthday was today and over the weekend I got a new card making magazine and decided to try out on of them. And I loved it. THE TRUCK MOVES!

Directions...

1. Make card from cardstock

2. Adhere paper strips (mountains)

3. Punch rounded rectangle across "brown" papter strip. Adhere two pennies together with foam tape on either side of punched paper. Adhere piece to card with foam tape

4. Draw, trim, color, and adhere truck to penny
5. Personalize card (i.e. "Hope your birthday... is loads of fun.")

Flower Hair Clips

So I went to Logan over the weekend for the super bowl to see Shantel and JJ. It was a blast and Shantel and I decided to be crafty. We had so much fun making these flowers and they were pretty easy once we got the hang of it.

PS any ideas for our next craft?

Lamp

So I got this lamp at good will for ten buck but didn't love it so I redecorated it. I had a blast doing it! Before...

Utah Update

So I moved to Provo Utah dec. 17th. I started apprenticing at a hair salon (Studio 210) in Orem. I absolutely love working at this salon. I get tons of one on one time instead of school where there are lots of students. It's my kind of learning :) I feel like I've already learned tons and continue to progress. (PS I can bring in my own clients and charge half price, it's a great learning experience and practice time for me, and I would love anyone in the area to come in.) It's so nice to actually enjoy my work! Well beside the salon I also nanny for my sister-in-law in Sandy on wed. I love the opportunity to spend time with my niece and make a little extra earnings on the side. Since I've been here I've stayed busy even outside of work... I've been to Logan 3x, Sandy 5x, and SLC 2x. And my car is still chugging along, he is a real champ :)
The first week I was here mom was in town so I got to spend time with here, which was a great surprise. My second weekend I went and saw my good friend in Logan, it was a short trip but was so worth it. Christmas was awesome, I went to Sandy and spent it with Cara's family. They were a blast. New Years I went to Logan and spent it with Shantel and JJ. We had a mini buffet and just relaxed it was exactly what I needed. And this past weekend was Cutter's baby blessing so I went to Sandy and got to see mom and dad and lots of family. It was a way fun weekend!
Not to jinx it but everything is going great! I couldn't ask for anything more in my life. I have a great job, loving family, and close friends. I couldn't be more blessed as this new year begins.
